06/26/2010: Catagenesis

Our latest show was recorded in the humidity of the Sells Studio, and inspired a varied set of beats. The latest releases from Bonobo, Kyle Hall, and Conforce started things off, and we moved towards the darker, brilliant sounds of Emeralds, Autechre remixing the Black Dog, and Noisia. Some classic tunes are thrown in the remainder of the show, and we feature fresh sounds from Themselves, Pearson Sound, and Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti. Until next time, cheers!

06/19/2010: Suddenly, It’s Evening

It’s another melting pot of future music this week. The sun sets on a meditative note, with the nighttime tempo gradually rising to the sounds of Booka Shade, Alexander Robotnik and Solvent. An electro set keeps things moving with Radioactive Man and DJ Magic Mike, and things become hazy with The Sight Below, and The Hundreds In The Hands. Thanks for tuning in.

06/12/2010: Twin Peaks

It was a line graph of beats, ranging from the abstract, to the danceable. The Oracle accountants were in, examining the profit/loss margin. Second Quarter results look promising, and investors can seek confidence in new releases from Actress, Up Bustle & Out, Major Lazer &  La Roux, and a massive remix of Stagga’s “Timewarp,” courtesy of Kid606. More new sounds from Fenn O’Berg, Soma Quality Recordings, and Lusine remixing School of Seven Bells round out the show. Requests, words to dj@beatoracle.net.

06/05/2010: En Verano

Soundtrack for storms and air conditioners. Featuring songs from such monosyllabic luminaries as Walls, Teebs, and Lorn! The digital needle drops on The Glitch Mob, Solvent, and Tokimonsta remixing devonwho. But it’s not all youngsters! Legends Faust and Underworld gift the world with new releases! There’s also a taste of Marcel Dettmann’s anticipated debut full length. There’s also pizza (included in analog version only). Zonk!
