The second hour showcases new tracks from Loops of the Heart, Ninja Tune artist Yppah, more prolific beats from Machinedrum, and a walk through Ital’s “Hive Mind.” Thanks for supporting future music!

02/18/2012: The Signifier and The Signified

This week we present sound organized in time! Our sentient senses assigned some meaning to Mux Mool’s “Butterfly Technique,” the ascending drift of Tycho’s hazy beats, the jazzy undertones of Shigeto’s “Field Trip,” and Scuba’s great 12″ “Hope.” Releases from Marcus Fischer and Quantec remind us that the medium is about silence as well. Enjoy the music!

02/11/2012: A Visit to Pastel Planes

It’s an odd colored episode this week, full of new releases from various ends of the future music spectrum. During the first hour there are fresh releases from LA producer Shlohmo, Ulrich Schnauss collaborating with Mark Peters for some “Underrated Silence,” Air return and take us on a trip to the moon, Tropics showcases more of his lush production techniques, and  we drop Porcelain Raft’s latest for Secretly Canadian. The second hour kicks off with a classic from Guitar and moves into the new single from mad-beat scientist Bullion. We play the new R&B tinged single from Jacques Greene, as well as the latest from eminent drone-duo Windy & Carl. Come take a two hour trip through it all.

02/04/2012: Fluctuations

The drafty studio walls were warmed by these two hours of top sounds. Things begin with the patient, slow moving beats of Ghost Cauldron, and pick up with a cut from Random Rab’s latest release, “Viurreal.” New music from 1000names and Synkro show some flashes of hip-hop among subdued atmospherics, as Locked Groove closes out part-one with another stellar Hotflush Recordings release. Another killer production from Machinedrum starts an experimental second hour that features Gang Gang Dance remixing King Midas Sound, Steve Hauschildt’s twinkly kosmiche, and Feist getting the remix treatment from Beck. Thanks for tuning in!
