11/20/2010: My Mysterious Meander Through Metropolis

Burning Man 2010

It’s time yet again for Kenny’Lectro to get cerebral for your skull’s cathedral as he dedicates this week’s mix to Burning Man 2010. Close your eyes and let the music take you on the journey out West. Return to the Metropolis and get lost in it for two hours. You’ll hear more White Magic from Ceo, Underworld, Baths, and the last song from Gold Blood. Walk into the flames and allow them to burn the shadows from your mind. And remember, when you leave, take everything you came with.

11/13/2010: Autumn Source

A subdued, minimal sound carries much of this week’s edition, with an eventual build to some tasty hip-hop beats. Brian Eno leads the charge of new releases with a stunning new album on Warp Records, Stars of the Lid member Brian McBride provides a new track from his sophomore solo-effort, Burial returns with a gorgeous remix of Commix’s “Be True,” and SBTRKT teams up with vocalist Jessie Ware for a jumping new single on the Numbers label. Loads of still-fresh tunes and classics make up the rest of this must hear. Grab some headphones and tune in.

11/06/2010: Lifted

This episode was inspired by a good night with friends and vast amounts of drink. Some classic soul, funk, and hip-hop songs were dusted off throughout the first hour. A few new releases were also featured, including a track from Madlib’s latest “Medicine Show Series,” which showcases some obscure disco gems. Finnish upstart Jo Stance drops an impressive debut single, and we play another dance burner from Lee Foss. In hour two it’s remixes galore. We drop Four Tet’s excellent take on the XX’s “VCR,” Lindstrom and Prins Thomas reinvent a Chemical Brothers track, Tom Middleton remixes DJ Food, and 2010 breakout Teebs takes on Nosaj Thing. For a good time…
