09/22/2012: The Futuristic Sounds Of

This week’s episode takes many turns, as it was inspired by the usual, indefinable world of future music. The sounds of Chihei Hatakeyama start things off on a beautiful, abstract note, with new beats following from Jacques Greene and the colorful Black Moth Super Rainbow. The Gaslamp Killer unleashes his “Breakthrough” debut, while the veteran Nathan Fake continues a fine run of form with his latest album “Steam Days.” The latter third of the show features anticipated new music from Yagya, and more from Groundislava’s impressive “Feel Me” LP. Take a trip, for the price of 114 minutes and 38 seconds.

09/15/2012: The City Limits

It’s a brand new week of beats to soundtrack the workplace, lecture hall, commute, nursery, or clandestine political meeting! Things go aquatic with an oldie from Lowfish, new sounds from Poolside, and the subtle pulsations of Voices from the Lake. We also drop fresh tracks from Global Goon, John Roberts, and feature Low Limit offering a killer remix of Nosaj Thing’s “Quest.” Later on, Mala takes us to Cuba with a track from his phenomenal new album, Bvdub gives new meaning to the word prolific with his latest Earth House Hold project, and DâM FunK returns with a smooth new EP! Thanks for tuning in!

09/08/2012: Unused Calendar

The summer may be coming to a close, but the season is still ripe for future music! This week we play a host of new releases to usher in the autumn. Part one features the new single from Flying Lotus (with some help from Erykah Badu), a track from Daphni’s (aka Caribou) debut album, the latest from the Sea and Cake, a hypnotic cut from Holy Other’s  debut LP, and another week means another new album from bvdub, this time under his East of Oceans moniker (a must listen). In Part two you’ll hear the much anticipated return of Lukid, the soulful beats of Jessie Ware, more from the legendary Radioactive Man,  a brand new track from Matthew Dear’s new album “Beams,” and Michael Mayer closes things out with a great remix of Gui Boratto’s “This is Not the End.” Certainly not.

09/01/2012: A Distant View of Gliese

This week, we present the fifth edition in our annual “Slowly” series. It is similar in theme to our past mixes. It is a collage of hushed, sometimes drowsy sounds. For this reason, the duration of the show will be uninterrupted by voice. For a satisfactory listening experience we recommend finding a comfortable pair of headphones or a nice stereo, and a quiet place.
