Joseph here, mixing solo this week with a little help from Headphone Commute, who checks in with Tim Hecker, King Midas Sound, and other producers as they share their views on the state of Electronic music. New releases from Cosmin TRG, Frank Bretschneider, and Shackleton feature throughout, while older essentials from Autechre, and Kangding Ray flesh out an edition laced with intriguing sounds. Best if stored in headphones, or a loud Hi-Fi.

03/19/2011: Hang Loose

Live! That’s where it derives. From the stage of Rumba Cafe we played for a Saturday set of drink-goers, kindred spirits, and people in need of some down time in the dim lights. Throughout the set you’ll hear a mixture of Latin beats, Jazz-inspired hip-hop, and notable electronic releases. There are new tracks from Mux Mool, Julianna Barwick, and Radiohead, while classics from Luke Vibert, J Dilla, Leftfield, and Four Tet round out a diverse range of sounds.
