This episode marks the last in our 2015 recap series. I’m Kenny Lectro, weighing in with my favorite sounds of the underground in 2015. New discoveries include Kornel Kovacs and New York Transit Authority. Familiar producers with new stuff out in the last 12 months are Global Communication (Tom Middleton really) and Tycho (remixing Spoon!). There’s music for every mood and unique taste.
Much love and gratitude goes out to WCRS, my co-hosts Michael and Joseph and all our listeners out there. Thank you for the opportunity to express my future music mania!
We’ll be back in two weeks with a fresh new show featuring all 3 Beat Oracle DJs! Stay tuned.

There was a ton of great music released this year and I am especially proud of the mixes we added to our show’s archives this year.
This show marks the end of my eighth year working with Joseph & Kenny on WCRS and my fifteenth year producing the Beat Oracle. Thank you to my co-hosts for always pushing us forward and to WCRS for being a beacon of participatory community radio in Ohio. As always, thank you to our listeners for your support.
On a personal note, few things in life top the joy of dancing to The Beat Oracle in the living room on Saturdays with little ones. Here’s to future music and future memories in 2016.

Joseph here, presenting the first episode in our three-part 2015 retrospective. This year, we have recorded individual sets that showcase our personal favorite albums and tracks of 2015. Included within are favorites from Beach House, Dungen, Jessica Pratt, William Basinski, Bjork, Max Richter, Dave DK, Tame Impala, and many many more! I had two hours to work with and still couldn’t squeeze in a number of great releases (sorry Colleen and Helios).
Thanks to WCRS for their continued support as well as our listeners in Columbus, Bali, and beyond. Special thanks to our long time listeners who keep tuning in after all of these years.
Stay tuned – there is more to come…
