The Beat Oracle

This week we’ve got a special contest for a special live show. The first 75 minutes are packed with dance-floor classics mixed and recorded live by Michael from The Beat Oracle at a most special occasion: our friends Bryan (aka Deaf Dot Electrics, frequent TBO contributor) and Jayme’s wedding celebration in Manhattan. You’ve heard all of these tracks in the archives. So, instead of listing the playlist as per usual, we’ve decided to have some fun. The first listener to e-mail us at dj [at] beatoracle [dot] net with the correct playlist (just artist and track name will do) for the first 75 minutes will win a shipment of Beat Oracle goodies.

The second hour of the show features a guest mix from our friend Adam recorded live in July at Hal & Al’s. His awesome eclectic mix spans from reggae to drum’n'bass & hip-hop. Adam shows us again why we’re never disappointed when our friends mix for us.

Our latest show was recorded in the humidity of the Sells Studio, and inspired a varied set of beats. The latest releases from Bonobo, Kyle Hall, and Conforce started things off, and we moved towards the darker, brilliant sounds of Emeralds, Autechre remixing the Black Dog, and Noisia.
