Bookended by a KLF classic, three distinct sets create the shape of this week’s show. Michael starts things off with wonderful new tracks from Moderat, The Field, Odd Nosdam, and The Big Pink. The middle set brings things down, all in preparation for our bizarre final third…involving a ham radio, a time-traveling caveman (known as the Neonderthal) and a trip way back to early 90’s dance. Stranger things have happened

This episode accurately traces the lifespan of the Sells Studio drink supply. Things start poignantly, with our collective wits (limited as they may be) intact. Then, like everyone’s favorite uncle enjoying the reception’s open-bar, we ran the emotional gauntlet from elation to sorrow (minus the pass at the bride) and then back again. New cuts from Burial & Four Tet, Ruckus Roboticus, Guru, Del the Funky Homosapien, DOOM, Mr. Scruff and more. Salud.

Last week our Sells Studio neighbors complained about the noise until they stepped inside and heard the beats for themselves. They dropped their walkers and joined us for an impromptu block party. Hour-one has some hip hop, tech, and fresh dubstep. The second half features some dance courtesy of Michael, and some poptones from Kenny. New tracks from The Black Dog, T++, L-Whiz, Pantha Du Prince, Ramadanman, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, El Perro Del Mar, and more! A big thank you to everyone writing with kind words, and a hello to new friends.

Three completely different sets led to one of our more diverse shows of the year. We started with some classic soul, funk, reggae and tropicalia. Michael brought in an all female review, featuring some of his favorite vocalists, while Kenny’s third was all about sleek, upbeat pop and dance. Well cheeks!
