07/30/2009: Forwards

After a long week, the Oracle contemplates “The Answer.” What that is remains unclear, but we’re working towards the discovery. Our latest effort reveals new tracks from Ramadanman, Mount Kimbie, Tonikom, Isolee, jj, Speech Debelle, DJ Spinna, and other reliable sources. We hope this mix brings something special to your ears. As always, we appreciate your feedback, comments, and criticism: dj@beatoracle.net

Greetings From…

A new week brings a new message from the Oracle. It’s another solid two hours worth of beats, bleeps, clicks and cuts. The mix gradually moves into the foreground with brand new music from Thom Yorke, Nosaj Thing, Koushik, Andrew Weatherall, Pearson Sound, more from the “Sisters” compilation, and the usual A-levels. Take a walk in the rain or stand in the sunshine.

The Oracle Speaks

Throughout the ten years of the show’s existence we’ve had many listeners ask: “What is the Beat Oracle?” This is the episode that answers the question. For the first time, the Oracle speaks! Your three humble DJs step aside and let the almighty voice of Beats take over. In the process you’ll hear brand new tracks from Dam Funk, La Roux, Clubroot, Gelka, and more. Don’t adjust your music machines, that distant voice is one of reason. The Sells Studio will never be the same.

This one is a great summer mix for all ages, occasions, and preoccupations. We arrived with a  whole slew of  records, then mixed and matched for your  listening pleasure. Take some time out and enjoy the mix. It features new ones from DJ Food, The Radio Dept, Fred Falke remixing Little Boots, Monolake, Vladislav Delay, Bibio, et cetera. We dropped our “Classic” stamp down a manhole, or else we’d use it here______.
