After unpacking and previewing our records, the three of us looked at one another, dumbfounded, wondering how we would form a coherent show. In the end, the wisdom of the Oracle prevailed (as far as we gather) and everything turned up cookies. There’s a new one from Daedelus, a sample of Ikonika’s debut full-length, new hip-hop from Deceptikon, Guilty Simpson & Madlib, and another collaboration between Murs & 9th Wonder. Hour-two features huge beats from Surkin, Four Tet remixing Pantha Du Prince, and Jim O’Rourke paying tribute to Burt Bacharach. Until next week…

We got trapped in the studio wall and recorded this show. Once inside, we heard the abstract sounds of Take, Flying Lotus remixing Andrea Triana, and brand new beats from the Glitch Mob. After much wandering we encountered fresh songs from Caribou, Phantogram, Goldfrapp, SBTRKT and Mount Kimbie reworking the XX. Something happened, and we found ourselves floating around to Loscil and the Sight Below. It was all a bit strange. We’re not entirely sure, but we think we got out.

Our latest episode was recorded live on April 2nd, at Hal and Al’s. Kenny starts things off with a great set of experimental pop tracks. Shades of hip-hop emerge from Madlib and Dimlite, and we drop a new track from our friend Self Help. The second half features new releases from Amon Tobin, Subscape, James Blake remixing Mount Kimbie, a blinder from Scuba, and a gorgeous remix of Four Tet’s “Sing,” courtesy of Floating Points. Michael brings things to a close with an understated mini-set that includes new music from Alva Noto. As ever, thanks for listening!

Things continue to move along. New music contents: J.Rocc and Ras G create songs from thrift store dollar bins, Bonobo returns in a major way, Deru drops some wise beats, Starkey has us seeing stars, Mount Kimbie remixes LV and Untold, and SBTRKT continues a streak of great singles. There’s more of course, but you’re better off hearing it for yourself.
