11/26/2009: A Very Ruckus Roboticus Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! We’re celebrating the holiday with two great hours of music from Ruckus Roboticus. The first hour kicks off with his new A Very Daft Punk Christmas mix. In 60 minutes, Ruckus packs all great things DP related: tracks, remixes, productions, side projects and 12″s from their record labels, Roule and Crydamoure. The second hour features a recording of the Ruckus Roboticus one-man-band performance, showcasing remixes, elaborations and improvisations on his debut album Playing with Scratches.

We also want to say Thanks! to our friends Colormap Colorwheel for producing a new Beat Oracle theme song.

11/12/2009: A Little Help!

This week we get some help from our good friends. Micah and Adam, from the mighty Juices of Fire, kick off the show with back-to-back mixes recorded live from The Beat Oracle nights at Hal & Al’s. Micah’s set navigates through instrumental hip-hop and ends with some chill dubstep. Adam takes over the second half of the first hour with an upbeat mix of danceable beats. The second hour finds Ruckus Roboticus in the pilot’s seat for a mix infused with latin jams. Thanks, guys!

Live Update

This is just a reminder that you can catch the Beat Oracle live on the first Friday of every month at Hal & Al’s. Previously, we were spinning weekly, but we have decided to scale down our time due to other commitments. Thanks to everyone who has come out, and we hope you can join us for our next show on December 4th!
